Today I picked up the Blue Ray of one of my favorite movies of the year, Up! Dr. Geek & I loved this movie. There were so many good-old-fashioned-belly-laugh moments. At the same time there were a few parts that had us both in tears. After the movie I asked him what got him so choked up. There were many parts that parallel our lives at the moment, but his answer still makes me misty-eyed, "She's a red-head AND she scrapbooks! How am I not supposed to be effected by that?!"
The relationship between Carl & Ellie reminds me a lot of Dr. Geek and I. In fact at our wedding, my cousin, the celebrant summed it up best in his homily,
"Mrs. Geek is spontaneous, adventurous, creative and Dr. Geek is steady, steady, steady."
As Dr. Geek and I are experiencing some bumps on our journey to start a family I have to remember what a close friend told me, quoting from the movie, "This is just another adventure."
