I love my iPhone. I mean it is awesome!!! Sadly there are only a handful of phone numbers that I have committed to memory these days becasue they are all stored in my phone. Having a calendar that is shared between my husband & I is the BEST!
I've tried numerous productivity apps to keep track of to-do lists and projects. I have Evernote -- haven't really figured it out. I also have the desktop and iPhone App for Things, but that hasn't helped me either. The list goes on and on. Often times I'll use sticky notes to remind me of things that I need to get done. I've noticed that when I write things down the to-do sticks a bit more.
Enter the Studio Calico Agenda class. What really sold it was the adorable stamp set that you get for signing up. I mean come on -- AWESOME!!!
Once I signed up I started researching planners. What brand did I want? What size would suit me? Who knew what a rabbitt hole that would turn out to be. I looked at Erin Condren, those planners are gorgeous! The size was a bit daunting, and I like the idea of being able to customize stuff. I mean I'm a scrapbooker after all! I settled on the Filofax Domino, Personal Size in the Patent Pink. Oh it didn't end there, not by a long shot!
Well my love of all things sticky notes, I've found a bunch of adorable notes and flags to add to my pages. I even found charms to dangle off the binder rings. CHARMS-- be still my heart!
Now that I found the planner I liked it was time to start filling it. The planner came with the WOTP (week on two pages) Since it was a personal size it didn't leave much real estate when it came to space per day, plus I discovered even more fabulous stamps from Sweet Stamp Shop, Studio L2e and V's Sweet Ideas. I started looking on Etsy and found some great sellers but I just couldn't find planner peace. Then I discovered the inserts from Studio L2e, AWESOME! I use her day per page wih weekly overview for my personal size filofax. I also like the month view from Planner fun and put that in the front of my filofax for that quick review and then the daily pages for specific appointments and to-do. I also made my own dividers using digital papers from an Etsy seller. Since the domino was hot pink, I went with a Sleeping Beauty Castle theme, complete with decorate paper clips to compliment the colors.
For 2015 I decided to mix it up a bit and got a black original style personal filofax and have gone with a Mickey & Minnie theme. I've gotten some sticky notes and created ribbon clips in red, yellow, back & white. as well as found pens and pencils to complete the theme. I've also created dividers to match. Yup I've been bitten hard by the planner bug!
